Description

Restoration of Mores Reserve (SDC), through intensive animal pest control, weed control and native planting. Managed by the Aparima Pestbusters Group. Tracks, picnic area and toilet. New volunteers always welcome to taken on or share a trap line, especially as the area covered is increasing. Now also working on Te Wai Korari QEII Covenant (off SH99 at entrance to town) with pest plant and animal control. Regular working bees: do contact to be involved and to go on the newsletter mailing list.

Warrick McCallum, a main driver of the Aparima Pestbusters, along with Meg, a fellow planter. 2004.
Working with Biodiversity Southland, BCF grants have helped fence off forest around Mores Reserve.
2022 October. The Aparima Pestbusters team have just replaced all the bait stations for possums and rats throughout Mores Reserve.
