Description

Ivy Russell Stewards Group comprise representatives from Winton Community Board, Winton Rotary, Winton Kindy, Winton Business Association, Winton Floral Art Club, SDC and Central Southland College. The aim is long term kahikatea forest remnant restoration alongside community use for art events, Forest School and senior school education, frisbee golf and general enjoyment of the reserve by families. CSC have taken on weekly pest animal control with a series of traps on site. Rotary, Weka Kindy and CSC are starting pest plant removal and replanting with suitable shrubs and trees in 2025.
