Description
Public conservation land managed by the Otatara Landcare Group - restoration of grazing area into native forest and wetland habitat including animal pest control over 90ha. Self guided walk with interpretation panels and picnic tables. Public Access east end of Bryson Road.
Historic involvement
Site has been gradually replanted and pest controlled over 25 years and ongoing. The inspiration and vision of Chris & Brian Rance who also manage the adjacent kahikatea forest QEII block and Southland Community Nursery.
