Southland Forest & Bird - Planting at Home Creek
Forest & Bird’s monthly trip for April is to Home Creek, Manapouri. Help with planting at Home Creek wetland and explore the area by walking the loop track there. Home Creek is a Waiau Trust property, with a wonderful clear meandering stream running through it. With the Fiordland Mountains as a back drop this is a very picturesque spot to visit. Restoration plantings have been ongoing for over a decade enhancing the area and improving the habitat for our native fauna.

This is the last trip for Southland Forest & Bird’s 2017-2018 Summer Programme, which will be joined by Geocaching community members. So if you want to learn about geocaching, come along for that too!
