Bowmans Bush, Otatara - annual chilean flame creeper control

25 January 2021

Controlling the pest plant Chilean Flame Creeper has been undertaken by physical removal in Bowmans Bush for about 15 years now. Although this hasn’t eliminated the pest species, it has allowed the natural regeneration to continue, ensuring a much healthier forest remnant. Meet at Spence Ave entrance at 7.00pm. Bring your own gloves and wear footwear that is good for off track. Leader, Jesse Bythell, Southland QEII representative. Contact [Enable JavaScript to view protected content] for more information. See under SERN Invercargill project directory for more information about Bowmans Bush.
